Do you feel lost after a painful event or period in your life?
Living through disruptive events, such as the loss of a loved one, a horrible attack, betrayal in a relationship, or a distressing experience is hard enough. You may be feeling hurt, lost, or numb from the pain.
But continuing to manage this pain for years after it happened is exhausting, stressful, and debilitating.
And you don’t have to.
You don’t have to live through the painful memories and the difficult emotions tied to experiences in your life over and over. Healing and relief are possible.
EMDR therapy can help you find relief.
EMDR is a revolutionary, evidence-based, targeted therapy method that helps people heal from the impact of painful experiences, memories, trauma, and grief. EMDR can help rapidly and without you having to relive or tell your story over and over.
During EMDR therapy, we identify which memories and experiences are at the root of your pain. We’ll explore limiting beliefs and behaviors that you may have and hold you back from fully living and enjoying life. We’ll directly target these distressing events and experiences to “unlink” them from any painful (“maladaptive”) triggers, emotions, beliefs, and sensations. We then “link them up” with adaptive information, beliefs, emotions, and sensations to help you heal. After EMDR therapy, many people report feeling lighter, more hopeful, liberated, and empowered.
